In case you didn’t know—San Francisco has some steep hills, so if you’re not willing to walk the 1 km (0.6 miles) take a cab, or hop on the #27 bus from Market & Powell to get off on Sutter St.
A single BART ticket will cost about $15.

Shuttles arrive on the second floor of the airport, and shuttle pickups are outside the terminal in the middle island.
Shuttles range from $15-20 per person from the airport, reservations are not necessary.
We can book your shuttle back to the airport for $12-15 a person at the front desk.

We are a European style hostel, where rooms stay affordable because they are shared with other guests. At Amsterdam Hostel we welcome backpackers, couples, groups, and all travelers who are looking for an experience where they can meet like-minded travelers. Unlike most hostels, each room has it’s own bathroom. Our hostel also has private rooms if you do not wish to share your accommodations.
Most all of our rooms have lockers for you to use. Bring a padlock with you to secure your valuables. If necessary, you can also store your belongings in the manager’s office.
There’s no need! Amsterdam Hostel will provide you with bedding linens, and you can request towel service from our front desk. We actually do not allow camping gear within the hostel rooms.
We do our very best to keep groups together, but in rare cases, it’s not available. If you want to confirm that your group has beds in the same room please email us. To register a group reservation, please submit a group inquiry form.
There is no curfew, and you may come and go as you please, but we ask that you are respectfully quiet when returning at night and do not disturb your fellow hostel-mates.
Your friends are welcome to enjoy the hostel lobby and reception areas. We ask that visitors do not enter rooms for the safety of our guests.
If you have a physical restriction that requires you to have a bottom bunk, please tell our receptionists at check-in and they will assist you with this. We don’t assign beds, they are available on a first-come-first-serve basis. Feel free to claim a bunk bed if that person has checked-out.
